The Bessinger Family

Their Journey Began With Hope:

Adoption had been on our hearts long before we fully understood what the journey would require. We adopted our first son in 2019, and in 2022, we felt a clear call to grow our family through adoption once again. After years of praying we stepped forward in faith, believing this was how our family was meant to grow.

The Challenge They Faced:

Along the way, we faced an unexpected and heartbreaking setback when our agency closed after we had been active with them for two years and had already invested significant funds into the process. We were suddenly forced to start over from the beginning. The emotional weight of losing that time and investment, combined with the financial strain of starting again with new fees and requirements, felt overwhelming.

When Support Made the Difference:

There were moments when we questioned how we could possibly keep going. But in the middle of that uncertainty, God provided in a way we didn’t expect—through a Legacy of Blessings matching grant. This support came at just the right time, helping cover essential expenses like agency fees and travel, reminding us that we were not alone in this journey.

A Family Made Whole:

Looking back, we can clearly see how God was at work in every detail. The grant was so much more than financial help—it was encouragement when we needed it most and a reminder to keep saying “yes,” even when the path felt unclear. Because of that support, we were able to move forward and ultimately welcome Jaden into our family, a moment that changed our lives forever. Our home is now filled with laughter, love, and a deep sense of gratitude.

You Can Help Create the Next Story:

We will never forget how God provided for us during one of the most challenging parts of our journey,

and how Legacy of Blessings played such a meaningful role in helping bring our child home.
